CLC e-NEWSLETTER Aug/Sept 2023

Greetings interpreters, translators and community providers! We hope you all enjoyed your summer and were able to spend quality time with your family and friends! After a brief break, we are excited to resume sharing with you our highlights from our programs, resources for interpreters, interpreting/translation in the news, job opportunities and community events! Here are some highlights:

CLC launched mental health interpreting series in Spanish-English on a variety of topics relevant in mental health settings. The first one will be offered on September 14!
CLC now offers Oral Burmese and Karen Listening and Speaking Language Proficiency Assessment (BKLPA).

CLC hosted Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training plus meet and greet with CLC’s interpreters on May 6, 2023. The turnout was incredible! 21 interpreter showed up!
We recognize the need for mental wellness, CLC is pleased to host a monthly Colorado Interpreter group support meeting. The next one will be offered on Thursday, August 31, 2023 6:30pm – 8pm at 1537 Alton Street, Aurora, CO. More information: Interpreter Support Group
